The Company Formerly Known as SnobSwap Goes for LePrix (The Prize)

Washington, DC, March 13, 2018 –(PR.com)– SnobSwap, the leading online pre-owned luxury consignment platform, today announced its name change to LePrix as part of a comprehensive rebranding effort largely based on customer feedback. As the largest e-commerce platform for designer consignment boutiques globally, LePrix is able to feature the largest combined collection of pre-owned, authentic designer handbags including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Gucci in the resale marketplace.

Originally launched by sisters Elise Whang and Emily Erkel in 2014, the duo sought to establish a company that would redefine designer consignment shopping for those seeking access to affordable luxury and unique designer pieces from boutiques around the world.

LePrix (pronounced Luh-Pree) means “the prize” in French and the founders found the name apt for both the new direction and genesis of the company. “When we first started SnobSwap, we left our day jobs to bring you the ‘thrill of the hunt’ from our favorite designer consignment stores. Scouring the earth for the best, most trusted luxury consignment stores, and giving you access to them online became our daily mission. For us, it was always about sharing in the joy of the prize at the end of the hunt and with LePrix, we are excited to offer just that,” said Elise Whang, co-founder and CEO of LePrix.

With offerings that range from trending in-season items to the rarest vintage finds, LePrix brings users closer to luxury brands like Chanel, Hermes, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and others. The company has been known for its ability to offer new inventory every minute, by giving items in the fashion and luxury marketplace a second life. Seen by users as an “online luxury mall,” the company continues to expand its global reach with partnerships that would otherwise not be available without the LePrix platform.

The new site looks good and seems to be easier to navigate but what I’m missing is knowing who’s store your purchasing from. It used to be when you clicked on an item, that store would be listed on the items page. Not anymore which causes me to ask why not? I knwo it may not have worked from a new design point but as a store owner, I would want my name everywhere. While the site is brand new, hoping they will add that back in.
