If you know anything about me, you know I have zero tolerance for counterfeits. Like less than zero and while I have done what I could to educate people as to the dangers, what they fund and everything else, people still feel like it’s fine to go ahead and start a business selling replicas. In this past weekend alone, I have been sent 4 different pages of “companies” selling fake bags.
I have given this much thought as to how I can effectively make a difference here. I have called out people on Instagram, just to get blocked and nothing else happens. I have reported to the appropriate platforms with no response. I have also sent links and paragraphs upon paragraphs as to the who, what, where and why’s to the appropriate authorities with again, zero response. I have even tried working with my local government and they all nudged me into reporting to the proper authorities so it’s basically everyone passing the buck. Homeland security is only interested in the biggest players but who do you think these small sellers get their items from?
This is a massive problem that no one want’s to tackle so I have decided that the only way to make an impact is to create a bigger noise and what better way to do that then to launch Fake Friday!
Now, the last thing I want to do is hurt anyone and will only post when I have documented information that is beyond a shadow of a doubt but starting this Friday, I am going to be calling out every counterfeit seller I can find.
It’s not fair to the thousands of reputable sellers and companies out there that work so hard, doing the right thing so if you want to take an easy way out and break the law, that’s on you. I’m just going to make it way easier for the authorities and the brands to shut your ass down.
See ya’ Friday!
